Products are selected because they fit The Hidden Curio's editorial criteria. Affiliate availability, advertising relationships and retailer prominence do not determine inclusion or scoring. Commercial links are disclosed and are kept separate from the reasons an object is recommended.
Research and sourcing
Discovery articles are based on the product identity and specification recorded for the page, published manufacturer or retailer information available during curation, and our analysis of design and practical fit. We avoid adding precise performance, durability or technical claims when the source material available to us does not support them.
Hands-on language
We do not describe a product as “tested”, “used for months” or similar unless that experience actually occurred and is stated in the article. Most archive entries are editorial assessments rather than laboratory or long-term ownership reviews, and every Discovery includes a note making that distinction clear.
Scores and opinions
